This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how Hey Fardo LLC ("Fardo", "we") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data in connection with the platform, websites, applications, microservices, API, and WordPress plugin (together, the "Services"). It forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions.
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Hey Fardo LLC, a company incorporated in the State of Delaware (United States), with its address at 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, United States, tax identification number (EIN) 39-3381900.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to people who create an account or use the Services, to those who contact us or subscribe to our communications, to job candidates, and to visitors of our websites.
Where Fardo processes personal data on behalf of a customer (for example, data accessible through integrations the customer connects, or data of the customer’s end users), Fardo acts as processor and the customer as controller; that processing is governed by the applicable Data Processing Agreement (DPA) (see section 12).
3. What data we collect
Data you provide to us
- Account and identity data: name, email address, and account identifiers managed by our identity provider.
- Brand and business data: brand name, domain, competitors, target audience, value proposition, and similar data you enter for analysis.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor; Fardo does not store your full card details, only customer and subscription identifiers.
- Communications: the content of the messages you send us (support, contact forms, job applications, newsletter subscription).
- User content: posts, comments, reactions, and profile information in the community.
Data we collect automatically
- Usage and telemetry data: pages visited, features used, actions, and session duration.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and cookie identifiers (see section 5).
Data from integrations you connect
When you connect third-party integrations (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Shopify, WooCommerce, Mercado Libre, Notion, LinkedIn, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, Reddit, WordPress), we retrieve and process the data necessary to provide the Service, such as analytics, product catalogs, profiles, and posts, along with the corresponding access tokens.
Data from public sources and third parties
For visibility analyses, we obtain information about brands, companies, and competitors from publicly accessible sources and data providers, as well as mentions generated by AI models. This information may include data relating to natural persons (see section 11).
4. How we use data and legal basis
We process personal data for the following purposes, on the legal basis indicated:

The analyses are generated through non-deterministic AI models and constitute indicative estimates; they do not involve automated decisions producing legal effects on natural persons. For more detail on their nature, see the Terms and Conditions.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the sites and platform, remember your preferences (e.g. language), and measure usage in an aggregated way.
- Necessary and functional cookies: essential to authenticate the session and remember preferences such as language.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how the Services are used. Where applicable law requires it, these are enabled only with your consent.
You can manage cookies from your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect how the Services work.
6. Who we share data with (subprocessors)
We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers (subprocessors) that process it on Fardo’s behalf and under confidentiality and security obligations, solely for the purposes described. The main subprocessors are:

The list may be updated as our providers change. We may also disclose data when required by law, by a competent authority, or in the context of a reorganization or transfer of assets.
7. International transfers
Fardo operates from the United States and uses subprocessors located mainly in the United States and the European Union. This means your data may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence.
Where applicable law requires it, we apply appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or other recognized mechanisms.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy.
After the account is closed, we retain data only for the periods required by legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, and then we delete or anonymize it. You may request the deletion of your data under section 10.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including access control and the encryption of credentials and integration tokens.
No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access your data, rectify it, request its deletion, object to or request the restriction of its processing, request portability, and withdraw consent you have given (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hola@heyfardo.com. We will address your request within the applicable legal timeframes and may ask you for information to verify your identity.
If you believe we have not adequately handled your request, you may file a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
11. Third-party data and analyzed brands
The Services analyze information about brands, companies, and competitors obtained from publicly accessible sources and data providers. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest in offering visibility analyses, balanced against the rights of the affected persons.
This information is provided for informational and analytical purposes, reflects estimates based on public sources, and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. Analyzed brands or persons may request access, rectification, or removal of the information concerning them by writing to hola@heyfardo.com.
12. Integration data and processor role
When you connect integrations, Fardo accesses data that you control, which may include data of your own end users (for example, via Google Analytics 4 or e-commerce platforms). With respect to that data, Fardo acts as processor and you as controller.
For customers who require it, we offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governing this processing. You may revoke connections at any time from your account or from the third-party platform. If you enable publishing features, you authorize Fardo to publish content to your connected accounts in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

13. Community data and public content
In the community, certain profile information (e.g. name, company, role, country, and professional link) and the content you publish may be visible to other members. You can manage the visibility of your profile according to the available options.
Do not post in community spaces information you do not want others to see. User content is also governed by the rules described in the Terms and Conditions.
14. Marketing communications
With your consent, we may send you newsletters and marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the cancellation link included in each email or by writing to hola@heyfardo.com.
Regardless of your marketing preferences, we may send you operational or transactional communications necessary for the provision of the Services (e.g. security notices, service changes, or billing).
15. Minors
The Services are intended for users of legal age and for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, write to us at hola@heyfardo.com and we will delete it.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified by reasonable means (e.g. email or notice on the platform) with reasonable advance notice. The "last updated" date indicates the version in force.
